Works since a fresh install of the released, non-beta Hardy. Things
must have been fixed sometime after my hack on my configs :)

Do you mean that the (radio) options "Right handed" and "Left handed"
are grayed out in the Mouse settings (in System Settings / Keyboard &
Mouse)? (That's the case for me on Hardy)
