The bug Damian is seeing has existed for a long time.
It is more likely to occur in the same conditions (short XID range response) as
lead to this bug.

Keep experiencing crashes on Intrepid and Hardy we don't have a patched
libxcb for Intrepid and Hardy LTS.

I've seen this myself, and will make sure the patch is SRU'd to jaunty
and likely to hardy. Not sure about intrepid, jaunty will be released
this week anyway..
