Description:
First of all, kongratulations on a nice interface, done with
very few people. Here are my remarks.
They are all valid for Dapper flight 6, current as per
16-4-2006
1. Error: When Konqueror opens a popup it ALWAYS shows the bookmark
toolbar, although I disabled it. Very annoying!
2. Usability 1: Right-click menu misses essential actions.
But it does contains actions that are absolutely not
usefull.
E.g., When I right-click on a tar.gz file I can:
- send it by bluetooth (I don't have bluetooth on my PC)
- burn it with k3b (why would I want this?)
However I CANNOT extract it at the current location,
which is the most probable action.
Of course I can startup ARK and then save the file, but
then I need to enter the complete path to the place
I already was at the first time - bad usability!
3. Usability 2: The buttons in the title bar (open, close etc)
are too narrow and offer a too small target. Please use
buttons that are as large (vertically) as possible, e.g.,
as high as the title bar. The plastik buttons are excellent!
I would like to ask to please not compromise usability
only for the sake of wanting to look different...
Other than that great job with the cleaned up interface!
does not show the icon for View mode
I think it should do that to quickly switch to detailed view.
Also it should remember the setting per folder, but perhaps
it already does this
