I can also confirm this problem. When I upload songs to the iPod with Amarok I
then have to fix the database with gtkPod.
Why is this bug's status "Info Needed"? I don't see any request for info in the
report so far...

yep, i had some problems also with gtkpod ,everytime that the ipod was
mounted when that program was open ,it crashes .I hope that there will
be more working ipod softwares in next releases.

gtkpod worked fine and the original itunes software. but when used with
amarok the song DB was corrupted or so. so until amarok 1.4 i was forced
to use gtkpod. but as i have seen that 1.4 will most probably not go
into dapper i think it can be dangerous for many ipods out there.

i had the same problem with rhytmbox ,all songs after the ipod was
mounted using that program were not more readable. I had to format my
ipod. Have you tried that process only with amarok or also with another
application?
