Did a full update from online repo's including kdelibs ubuntu8 and can now
report print wizard works OK, printer added, and prints fine from KDE and
non-KDE apps.

Just a me too, trying to add a wirelessly networked printer, detected OK, but
trying to either print Test Page or Finsh install result in KDE Print Wizard
crashing.

I have the same problem, and I only managed to add a printer by going
through gnome cups manager. But even then, the printer won't print,
although I see my printer added in the KDE printing dialog along with
the printing tasks.
