Public bug reported:

Affects: kdeutils (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Binary package hint: ark

I got tired of the broken drag and drop in gnome's file archiver, so I
decided to install Ark. I'm running Ubuntu, not Kubuntu. After I
installed Ark, I opened up a .tar.bz2 file and tried to extract it by
dragging the folder inside the .tar.bz2 (everything inside the
compressed file was in a single folder) into a nautilus window (open to
a folder inside my home folder). Ark gave this error: "Could not start a
subprocess." and the folder was not extracted.

I assume something this big wouldn't be broken in Kubuntu, so I'm
guessing that the bug is due to me not having something from kubuntu-
desktop installed. Nonetheless, whatever is missing should be identified
and added as a dependency for Ark.
