Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase
Using this: xinput set-button-map "Kingsis Peripherals Evoluent VerticalMouse 3" 1 9 2 4 5 6 7 3 8 will result in the behavior of: xinput set-button-map "Kingsis Peripherals Evoluent VerticalMouse 3" 1 9 9 4 5 6 7 3 8 This means, that if the second button is mapped to 9, the third button triggers button 9, too. This is not visible with xinput get-button-map, but when using xev. Also, it happens only with KDE, not when starting xterm or Gnome from kdm.
