Public bug reported: Freshly installed Kubuntu 11.10 (Oneric) system with all updates applied (akonadi-server 1.6.2-0ubuntu1) - I´ve tried this on two machines, one 32bit and one 64bit with identical results:
- Log in with a user that has his home directory on the local hard drive: Akonadi starts as expected - Log in with a user that has his home directory on an NFS share that is mounted from a file server: Akonadi crashes with a MySQL error, pointing to some access right problems. WORKAROUND: Akonadi can be made to start by issuing the following command sudo aa-complain mysqld-akonadi sudo /etc/init.d/apparmor reload This seems to confirm that this problem is related to Akonadi´s Apparmor rules. ** Affects: akonadi (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apparmor -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to akonadi in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/913589 Title: [11.10] akonadi fails to start on NFS home driectory (Apparmor problem) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/akonadi/+bug/913589/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
