Category: qemu Group: None >Status: Pending >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Olivier Paquet (euzeka) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: 64-bit windows no longer booting with -no-kvm Initial Comment: With kvm-56 it was possible to boot a Windows XP x64 guest both with and without the kvm module loaded. As of kvm-59, the boot process hangs (at 100% CPU) before the first graphics mode change (ie. it hangs in text mode) when the kvm module is not used or the -no-kvm switch is used. It boots fine with the module loaded though. The host is the same in both cases: a Core 2 Duo running 64-bit slackware 11 with kernel 2.6.21.1. I'm also using the same disk image. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Avi Kivity (avik) Date: 2008-06-29 18:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=539971 Originator: NO This ought to work now (even better when kvm-71 is released). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Olivier Paquet (euzeka) Date: 2008-01-15 19:25 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=390374 Originator: YES Forgot, I'm starting the whole thing with: qemu-system-x86_64 -hda wintest.img -smp 1 -localtime -net nic,model=rtl8139 -net tap,ifname=tap0,script=no ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=893831&aid=1872252&group_id=180599 -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe kvm" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
