Ideally, yes, it would be nice to have them translatable. But I don't
think it's high priority, as most languages have plenty of unfinished
translation work left in other parts of LO.

Yes, I think it is important to be able to translate the tootips of the
gallery items, but also the items itself.
There are more places where items are not translated. In the key-id
version there are no codes for Weblate to find and translate them.
