(in accordance with our usual "second and fourth
Saturday" schedule)
 
WHEN:  10 AM Saturday, December 9th 
WHERE:
   Sisters of St. Joseph Justice Center
           480 S. Batavia in Orange
WHO:  All interested people are invited, especially
             anyone who might represent one of our member
             organizations.
We're likely to be discussing such things as
fundraising, educational projects, outreach to new groups,
boycotts, new literature, counter-recruitment, and anything
that might end the war sooner.  The proposed agenda
will be sent in a separate message.
 
Please bring your ideas, and be ready to step
up and participate.
 
DIRECTIONS:
Turn into the parking lot from Batavia just north
of La Veta Ave., drive around to the left, to the
south side of the complex.  We'll be in the last
wing of the building that you come to on the south
side.  Look for signs to direct you to the room
that we've been assigned. It will probably be
Classroom 3, in the building to the rear on the
second floor.

#3  Troops Home Now Rally in Laguna Woods Saturday,
      December 9th

On Saturday, December 9th, People for Peace is sponsoring a
"Bring Home the Troops Now" rally.

The rally is from 11am to 12:30pm and will take place in front
of the Washington Mutual Bank at the corner of Paseo de
Valencia and El Toro Rd in Laguna Woods. Everyone is
welcome.

Parking is available across the street in Long's Drug Store
parking area.  Signs are available or bring your own.  

The majority of Americans want our troops out now.  Express
your concerns about our presence in Iraq.  Join the rally.

End the war-Bring the troops back home-Take care of them
when they do come home.
 
Senior Patriots Against the War is tightly focused on the
above agenda only.  We ask that other demonstrators joining
us not bring signs regarding other causes which may dilute
our message.
 
Protest in front of Leisure World entrance at Seal Beach Blvd, 10-12.
right next to Boeing plant and not too far from the Naval Weapons
Stations, Seal Beach exit off the 405.  Parking is at the SealBeach
Market.  People need to bring their own signs.

Women in Black
 
Women are invited to dress in black and join in "A Silent Vigil
for All Victims of War" 
 
The new winter time schedule for the Women in Black begins
November 1st. They will hold their silent vigil of sorrow for all
victims of war from 3:30 to 4:30pm, every Wednesday.
 
Women In Black, Laguna Woods has met every Wednesday
afternoon for the past three years.  They encourage women, and
men too to join and witness for peace.  They meet  on El Toro
Road, across the street from the Laguna Hills Mall (just East
of Laguna Hills City Hall).

have been holding an anti-war vigil there every week
since Sept. 2004. And we will continue to be there for
the forseeable future until all our troops are brought

        3 PM

We have decided to move our serving day and free
Market to Saturday, as opposed to Sunday. San
Clemente Food Not Bombs, will be serving in Max Berg
Park at 3pm every Saturday. 
 
Some new projects within San Clemente Food Not
Bombs have been:
 
providing clothes, house supplies, appliances, and anything
else donated that would be of use to the lower income families
which we work with in our community. 
Books Not Bombs. BNB collects and redistrubutes reading
material, preferably progressive and historical writings,
and offers them to the community at no cost. BNB looks to
collect, among others, childrens books to be distrubuted to
Las Palmas Elememtary School, located across from the
park which SCFNB serves at.
 
Finally, SCFNB has begun a small collection of youth working
to send items and love into the prison industrial complex.

"Peace vigil every Sunday night at the foot of the
Huntington Beach Pier, 7-8 pm
 
It's hard for most people to imagine a world at peace.
We are a very small group of people who believe that 
this is indeed possible and that peace will happen once
enough people believe that it can.  So we stand at the 
pier every Sunday night with a sign that says: 
"Visualize World Peace.  It's up to you". 
 
We also believe in non-violence both physically 
and in our thoughts. We will discuss peace and 
non-violence with anyone who is rational and 
smile quietly at those who aren't. We h
