[image: marcha-mov-pop-070611]Thousands of supporters of the Bolivarian
revolution took to the streets of Caracas on Tuesday, June 7, demanding the
government to end impunity and the criminalization of popular protest. The
massive march answered the call of social movements that make *life in our
revolutionary process and the PSUV, such as Bolívar Current Zamora National
Peasant Front Ezequiel Zamora, the National Union of Workers, Residents
Movement, Resistance Front against arbitrary evictions and other groups.* The
march took place in a context of major issues and made absolutely disgusting
by the state apparatus, as evidenced by the recent revelations about
corruption in the police (CICPC).

The protesters called for an end to the repression of social movements and
punishment of manual and intellectual authors of the killings. You heard a
loud rejection of the purges by the bureaucracy within the state media, as
we saw with the dismissal of journalists critical of the South Radio.

Another demand of social movements is that the Bolivarian government
completed the delivery of revolutionary to bourgeois justice in Colombia or
the United States. Cases of Joaquín Pérez Becerra and more recently, Julian
Conrado, has caused strong dissatisfaction at the base of the revolutionary
movement and the PSUV.

While the main actors behind the failed coup d'etat of 2002 walk in freedom,
plotting against our revolution, the government is giving social activists,
accused of "terrorism" to Colombia.

One example of how bourgeois justice is being used against the working class
and poor, is the file that was opened against Mitsubishi union workers laid
off <http://www.aporrea.org/trabajadores/n182212.html> in Barcelona on
charges of "violation of privacy and damage generic", looking for a penalty
imprisonment up to seven years. The fight against these attacks by the
multinational company is part of the same list of demands from the
grassroots.

The strike launched against the Attorney General's Office for a commission
to come up and hand over a document with the main demands of the groups, and
then continued the march to the National Assembly on Capitol Hill.
