Hi community,
Apache Labs is definitely one of the most innovative ideas that the
community has created to scratch our itches. I believe every commiter has
been thinking of the similar ideas to lower the barrier for pure creational
energy from ourselves without worrying about nurturing

So is this no release policy something that could be changed? Or is it
final?
I thought this too.
Maybe the lab could allow zero-dot (0.1, 0.2, etc) releases with an
explanation why the lab cant create a major release?
Ciao,
Mario
If labs could make releases, why would any committer want to go thru
incubation?
Why does any incubated project want to exit incubation? They could just stay
in the incubator. They do because the goal is to become a standard
full-blown Apache project, with an independent mailing-list, web site

Will the incubator accept podlings with only a couple of committers, a few
months of project lifespan and a 50 to 500 downloads? I don't believe so.
Maybe. My (limited) understanding of Incubator's aims is to make the
barrier to entry low - its exiting the Incubator to

I don't think an incubator podling could be created for a project
started by only 2 guys developing with passion (meaning evenings and
week-ends).
Why not? They day the incubator has a rule like that, I'm outa here.
And if they start in the lab, what is their chance
