first at the Canberra show, has not only received a first at the Cooma
show, but has won Champion of the Needlecraft section today.

Hello
I am going to make a scarf now, a long rectangular. The pattern is by Aage
(can´t find his last name right now) but he has a home page
www.kniplerier.dk
The picture of the scarf is on the backside of the latest Kniplebrevet and
it is made in Bourette variegated silk, 2 ply and Pagoda silk.
I had my first lesson in using a scroll saw last night, and you would not
believe what I made! An animal, and made into a puzzle. A hedgehog! I said
a Tiggy! and she was a bit confused, but I explained it was the favorite
animal of lace makers. He is gorgeous! And will sit close to my lace
Wow, Thanks all you Spiders for the advice about the shawl. I guess I'm
committed now. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Sheila you are truly a blessing! Thanks for taking the time to make specific remarks.
I will look into all of them. Have a good time on your outing. And, thank you all for
all of your support and book suggestions. It is difficult to look thru a list of books

Just thought I'd mention - I didn't start learning lace with 'Torchon' - I learned
Cluny leaves and plaits first.
What a good way to start!! Most of my friends are intimidated by Cluny leaves and put
off making patterns that might include some. Now
I forgot to mention in my previous email that I am running an up to date Norton

I didn't realise how cold it was when I went shopping yesterday afternoon,
so I didn't wear my thinsulate hat. Never mind, I though, I'll buy one

that winter has finally set in? No, but I could buy a bikini.

Dear Secret Pal,
Thankyou very much for the lovely fun parcel this month and also for the poem
Walking with Grandad which we really enjoyed.

I now know vitually everything about ANZAC day. So, it's wattle because where
Gallipolli took place there is a grove of Wattle and in Adalaide, where Tame Aussie
lived last, the light horse was mainly sourced from there so they wear wattle (not the
flower, just a sprig of the leaves)
Hello Michelle and all,
About the Honiton Teapot
I have a postcard with a motif of a teapot in Honiton lace.
It is blue background and have the picture of the pot made in lace on it.
The pricking for the teapot is on the card as well but no instructions.

There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra than
on Alzheimer's research.
This means that by 2020, there should be a large elderly population with
perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do
with them.

I just want to convey my sympathy to Spain with that horrible bombing and
hope that none of our lace friends or their family and friends were
