I have used polyester thread , and used a polycotton, or polyester thread
for the Dress cap, as featured on the cover of a Barbara Underwood book. As
my hair is white, I did not want to make a white cap, so used the polycotton
in Navy to make it. It never needs ironing! (Beauty!!) the thread
Dear Arachnids,
This discussion is interesting. My experience with rayon has been some
disappoinment in its ability to keep its shape. It looks good at first, but
it's never the same after it's cleaned, in my experience. Anyway, I looked it
up and found this information on the Net, for what i
I see my bobbins are almost finished on ebay.

I have not tried rayon thread for making lace with, but have used it for
Brazilian Embroidery. Our tutor taught us to give the cut length of thread
a hard tug and this stretched it a bit and it gave no problems when working
it up. (Wouldn't dare, in case it got another tug!! LOL) I have not trie
Gentil Spiders,
I have a crochet motif sweater that I paid a pretty penny for from a shop in
the French Quarter made of rayon thread. At some point I had to wash it, and
many of the joining knots undid themselves and proceeded to unravel.
Apparently the maker (in China) didn't leave tails, th
