I am one one of the lurkers because I don't feel I know enough
about it to ans questions and don't have enough time to venture into
any new things right now. I do read all the e-mails and do feel that
I learn from them so all you guys that do submit problems and those
that give ans. pl

Friday. Majordomo crashed.When I got signed on, it was back up but all the
messages for 3 days were "What happened?" It was several days before
conversation got back to lace topics so I could see what the List was

Yes, I remember Pat's gavel! That was a very special Convention in
Nottingham.
It must have been about the same time as you that I joined Arachne. I also
read about it in 'Lace'. I have remained a member all these years and it
was wonderful to meet some Arachnids in Groningen at
Brenda, what an interesting survey, and what a wealth of experienced
craftsmen/women there are here; a fantastic resource for those of us who are
starting out in lace making.

I can't remember the decade I joined, never mind the day, month or year.
Hubbie and I even have to check with our vet to see if our beloved dog is 12
or 13 today - never mind Arachne. Although mostly a lurker, I have learned
so much from this list and made some very lovely friends.

I can't remember when I joined, but I was on the Lace Guild Exec at the
time; Sally Chapman told me about it. I did two stints, 1992-1995 as
an ordinary exec member and 1996-1999 as Hon Sec.
I don't remember the arachne convention in 1998 - probably had Exec
business that evening.

However, if you ever do another one, - can it have a bigger section for
Needlelacers, please - and tatters too.. I would have liked to answer some
questions as a needlelacer, as I do more NL than BL these days

Tamara, Majordomo is getting creaky in its old age. It still works but
isn't nearly as user-friendly as the newer list software, so I spend
most of my list activity unsnarling people's subscription tangles
(friends who can't subscribe, email addresses that have changed
