Thank you Diane! Another member wrote privately recommending this book so I
will add it to my reading list. I am most eager to see what the OIDFA study
found. In France, the “terroir” is such an important factor. Folks in
villages 5km apart each think they produce the best wine, eau de vie, cheese,
whatever & can tell you, chapter & verse, why their’s is “le meilleur”!
Maybe these subtleties apply to vintage English lace as well? What a learning
