I have encountered a lappet that is thought to be Flemish or French, but it looks English to me, especially as it has a filling, Braids and Leadworks, that resembles number 169 in Honiton Lace: a collection of rediscovered fillings. Both examples even have a coarse thread in them. I am wondering if there is reason to believe that this was made in England. I have posted the photos on IOLIlace.ning https://laceioli.ning.com/group/identification-history What do you think? Devon
