LACE DAY NEWS! Join us, October 5, 6, 7, and 8th for the 27th Annual Ithaca
Lace Day. This weeks featured course is: Needle Lace Wheel. From start to
finish, make a needle lace wheel. Circumnavigate at your own rate of
proficiency. Beginning students will learn the basic stitches.
I have a question regarding using beads in your design. I have a flower design
I would like to try (original) using beads. I think I will be doing it in half
stitch (again I will be playing to see what works), but I do want beads in it
to make it look puffier and 3D. Do you add the beads to
No one has mentioned pipe cleaners as bobbin holders for spangled bobbins. I
have been using these on my pillows lately as I have too many projects going
and not enough stitch holders for them all.
Someone also mentioned in passing using the little hairclips for holding
metallic thread.

I was 40 when I went to my first convention in Bethesda. My kids were old
enough to take care of themselves and that was my only week of vacation for the
year (Scrooge for a boss). My family was very supportive. Since
I worked that same book a few years ago. I purchased several glass covered tea
trays with removable felt backs. I placed my pieces in those with little
numbers telling which lesson number it was. I have those hanging in my
kitchen. I don't use them for tea trays just display. It's fun to
