Lyn Bailey has asked me to post this for her because she posted it
herself this morning and hasn't seen it come through, and she needs
answers soon. Please respond to lynrbai...@desupernet.net , not me ;-)

I am an idiot. DH and I are leaving Tuesday for Amsterdam, returning on

September 3. We are spending one day in Zaandam, the Friday, and I am

taking Mechlin in Bruges. We are going to Amsterdam,

Rotterdam/Delft/DenHaag, Antwerp, Brussels, Waterloo, and Bastogne. We

are going to Kortrijk/Courtrai for the Flax/Lace museum. I am sure I

will get great advice about Brugge at the convention, although we are

there before as well, and I'm also sure the tourist Bureau will have

something. In the other places, are there any lace places to see? I

should have asked this long ago, but didn't.

I have Elizabeth Kurella's information on Sint-Carolus Borromeuskerk

and the Fashion Museum's displays in other venues as well, along with

the shop Kant Dentelles in Antwerp. I have looked at the OIDFA webpage

and seen the Rijksmuseum Textile Conservation Center. But I see

nothing about contacting them for special viewings. We will have a car

after our stay in Amsterdam, so quick trips to other places is certainly

doable. DH is a gem among lace spouses. But then we each have our

lists, mine is of lace places, and his is of model train stores, so if

you happen to know of any of those, I'd really appreciate it.

Lyn in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA, where it looks like Noah's Flood

has been averted. We have had terrible rain for the last week, creating

floods in all sorts of unusual places.
