Hi Spiders -

I'm feeling like a member of the "Lace Kit Police" right now. I spotted
another of those awful kits on eBay... item number 110137135234, and wrote to
the seller, advising them that while they stated that bobbin lace is
"surprisingly simple" and that this kit was an excellent way to learn, I felt
that they had been misinformed. I explained that lacemakers had been trying
for years to persuade Lacis to stop selling this kit, and that I am convinced
that making money is all that concerns the company.

I got a response telling me, in essence, to tell it to Lacis. I responded to
that, saying that I had initailly assumed that their motives were good, but if
they aren't interested in truthfully describing what they're selling, then
their reputation as a vendor has come into question. So thought I'd pass the
item number on to you so you can see who NOT to deal with!! Or even better -
who to write to in complaint!! (You can hide your email address... I may be
the "Lace Kit Police", but I'm not an total idiot!!) If 100 lacemakers stormed
his/her mailbox, it could be a wake-up call.
