Hi Alex: Could you be thinking of Pauline, Lady Trevelyan? Looking at her Wikipedia entry, she was a friend of Ruskin, the Rossettis, and "various other people” in the pre-Raphaelite movement, although Morris is not mentioned. But I would assume she knew him.
In Anne Buck’s book on Thomas Lester, at the top of p. 44, there is mention of a Honiton border designed by Lady Trevelyan, acquired by the V&A in 1864. A picture of the Honiton border is on page 64 of that book. Hope this helps.
