Dagobert Peche was THE lace-designer in his time. His designs are so beautiful
but not all of them have been worked.
The best part of Hartmut Langer’s book are the numerous pictures (very small)
of laces from Wiener Werkstätten. Text is not so much and not so informative as
we all expected, why
I'll offer a first attempt at at a transalation:

I had to use babelfish for Werkstatte (my German is rudimentary) so if
anyone knows an alternative/related meaning that fits better in the
context please jump into the conversation...

We need to keep lace history alive for today's young lacemakers, who have
not studied numerous languages. Even those whose grandparents spoke German
are usually not learning that language in English-speaking nations.
