I, too, wish to send my sympathies to all those in Paris - especially the
Lacemakers and their families.
One cannot get one's head around all the hate in the world today, and the
atrocities perpetrated because of it.

I am sorry I didn't see your query earlier, been busy and not following
Arachne for a while. Two years ago when in Paris, went to Chantilly saw
the Chateau there and then went on into the town and found the lace
Museum a small three roomed place in the Municipal area [not the
the very
name Cluny devolves from lace at the Cluny museum. Ditto the Orsay, although
their decorative arts were of better quality than the Musee des Arts
Decoratifs, making us wish we hadn't wasted our time by going to there first,
hoping for lace.

I was able to spend 5 nights in Paris in April, (the week before Easter)
with my SIL from Adelaide. And now she has asked me to join her again in
