I have a Mighty Bright little led light that clips/pins onto my pillow It is
excellent and the batteries last Ages. I have a fold of firm fabric that I
pin to the pillow, and then clip the light onto that, as there are no holes
in the clip to pin it on otherwise.!!

Thomas Lester -
It is amazing what you find that you had forgotten about when cleaning out
stuff!!!!!!
I found a copy of The Bedfordshire Times of Friday march 11th, 1966, and a
programme for the Pageant of Bedford - 27th June - 2nd July, 1966.

My mother was Wardrobe Mistress for the pageant, and sent these to me at the
time. Re-reading the programme - Episode 8 is "The Dedication of the Bells"
and says - "In 1744 the existing bells of St. Paul's Church, five in number,
were recast as a ring of eight, by Thomas Lester of Whitechapel. The work
was paid for by public subscription under the auspices of the Mayor, John
Russell and the Court of Common Council. The new peal was dedicated in 1745.
..."

Naturally the name Thomas Lester jumped out of the page, so to speak, and I
made a grab for that wonderful Anne Buck book. "Our" Thomas, or Thomazin
Lester was born in Abington Pigotts, Cambridgeshire in 1791 according to the
book.

Hmmm! One cannot but wonder if they are of the same family.

Regards from Liz in sunny Melbourne, Oz.
