astonishingly a lace dress isn't cold. Last time I was in Luxeuil I wore my
black lace-dress on saturday evening dinner. The day was rainy and absolutely
not warm. So I was really afraid to have cold all evening long.
But it wasn't so the dress, thinner than paper, kept me
What if the lace was from a different dress and had been remade into
this dress? That might explain the darts and tucks. We know they used
to take lace off dresses and reapply it to new dresses.
On a tangent, that makes me suspect that's what I have with a length of
black beds that has been cut
