Having inherited my grans sewing box I have finally sorted it out and found
some interesting threads! Especially some invisible thread as Brenda used on
one of her bookmark creations- yipee. Anyhow, I came acorss Coats "satinised"
and wondered if this is the same process as mercerised?

It's likely to be mercerised. I've had a quick rummage through my
sewing machine threads, some of which are quite old, but can't find
anything which says satinised.

I am a bit behind with the mails and just read your mail and looked at your
page. The
bookmarks look really interesting. I love them. It is really a challenge to
find more variations.
