One of my students wants to make a scarf from the Bellon (sp?) book. It calls
for Schappeseide 120/2. I donât know if this is a brand name or just a
generic expression for spun silk.
What we need is a suggested number of wraps, so that we can find something

Hello Jane
Madeira Decor is a thick rayon floss, 15 wraps/cm and has been in
Threads for Lace since Ed 1 (though the size, which is No 6, isn't
included!)
Metallic 40 is either Madeira 40, a fine wrapped thread, 35 w/cm, or
Moravia metallic . another wrapped hread but much thicker at 20 w/cm
I have a class next weekend, and I need DMC Cordonnet Special 60, or
Bockens 40/2 or 50/2, or BOUC 50/2 or 60. I have discovered that I do
not have these threads in my stash, can anyone please help me with
equivalent thread.
Thank you in anxious anticipation
