Hello Again! I neglected to mention that Ilse Altherr's book "Hems, Edges & Fancy Borders" reportedly has instructions on how to finish linen for a handkerchief. ILL (inter-library loan) has ordered the book for me so I will report back when I receive it. It would seem that her Picot Edge or some variation thereof would do the trick.
