Hello All! Happy Oshogatsu!! If you were born in 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999 or 2011 this is your year--the year of the rabbit. An advert in the Palm Beach Post caught my attention so I visited the museum & gardens, www.morikami.org, to enjoy the New Year's festival & wander the gardens. Before attending, I noted that they have a netting shuttle & spinning wheel in their collection & pictures of same are posted on pg 68 of their website. For the weavers on arachne, they have a charming selection of baskets & they are pictured as well but their online pictures are incomplete so above pg 100, photos are "in progress". As to architects linen--please let me say I have no clue what this stuff looks like or it's properties--but has it occurred to anyone to check with some "established" architect firms who may have a supply that they would be only too glad to sell at a reasonable price?? CAD, 3-D no less!!, is the method they use in their field today. DH's cousi n manages a firm & I will be happy to inquire when I see him at the family Easter picnic. In the meantime, may I mention the "paper linen" that is sold by Victoria Clayton? It is 32-count, nicely stiffened on straight-of-grain & a sample pack won't break the budget. Usual disclaimers. Hope this helps, but if not, at least stupidity is not fatal! Sincerely, Susan Hottle, still savoring the aroma of the mochitsuki, "pounding of the rice" ceremony, in Florida, USA
