Avital, I'm not sure exactly what it is, whether a headdress of some sort or just a close up of a section of another garment. The text for the entire page translated with the babelfish program is:
"Unforgotten crafts In Moscow in the gallery of " [Belyaevo]" is from November 28 to January 15, 2009 past the exhibition of " Not forgotten of [remesla]". Great interest causes the particular collection Of [s].[Glebushkina] - suits of the 19th Century. On the exhibition were represented traditional textile dolls, flap panels, author's clothing." Not the clearest translation! However, other pages dealt with quilts and other textiles, this page seems to be historic costumes. On the subject of stupid (or at least arresting) questions, a dozen years or so ago when I was starting a piece of floral Bucks that was wwaayyyyy out of my league, my sister looked at the tangle of bobbins and threads, the forest of pins, and the stack of scribbled notes and questions I had written and said "Elise, since you obviously WANT a headache, wouldn't it be faster and easier to just hit yourself in the head with a brick?" But my favorite was from a woman I used to work with. She had once seen a pillow with pricking and bobbins intact in an antique store. When she saw mine she remarked that my materials were missing the same thing. When I asked her what she thought was missing she said, "You know, the motor part that actually moves all the threads around to make the lace." Well, I keep looking, but I have never yet found the magical motor part that will move all my bobbins to make the lace! - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here.
