I have also printed the pictures of the three plait crossing. It looks so pretty that I would be reluctant to tighten it up. I wonder if there would be a successful way of leaving this crossing as shown i.e. not tightened, but left wide to look like it is in the picture. I have looked through the pictures and one of the pillows, the one with millions of bobbins hanging on it (no, ok, hundreds). These are tied in groups and hung to the pillow and this seems to me to be a Maltese pillow. Karen in Malta

I could hardly read the description; how do all of you (who visit E-bay on a regular basis) manage to put up with this kind of tabloid c**p? > BUT... the best is yet to come!! These books are listed under the > category of "Science and Medicine" Well... Look at it this way: lacemaking is (almost) "rocket science"; not for nothing it's called "the Mensa of crafts" :) And it's also "good medicine"; an hour (of lacemaking) a day keeps the shrink away (at a lot cheaper it is, too) :) Actually... I have never seen the Kliot book before but one of the photos had a 3-plait crossing, which is also new to me and totally yummy at the same time, and which I have now filched. So, thanks for directing me to the site; the trip was worth more than just a giggle.
