Hi All I've had words with the borrowers.... they say they are sorry for causing us all problems/challenges/money.... LOL
Evidently they needed a 'chute' to get stuff to their home faster!! Maybe the tape and the magnifiers have been used similarly.... tape for mending, and magnifiers because they fancied a 'glass' table?? As for ghosts.... my children say that their room was haunted. When Kyra was little she used to 'talk' to Bobby. When we asked her who Bobby was she would say that he wore 'long short trousers and boots like daddy's' which we took to mean breeches and walking type boots. Patrick did the same.... Now, looking at censuses there was a Robert lived on the cottages around 180 years ago.... maybe it's him. They both stopped talking to him after they started school and Chris & I have never seen or heard anything in this house, although I have seen a ghost in a neighbours house and at my Step-Grandfathers house when I was about 8.
