You're absolutely right; there is a law which addresses that issue. Presumably, it's so that we can see which particular "big interest" is bribing our candidate so that, if we disagree with that "big interest", we'll have the option of staying away from the candidate...


But the whole thing leaks at both ends... :)

On the one hand, my $25 isn't likely to sway the candidate's mind once he's in office (provided I had $25 to spare... When I do, I'm more likely to send it to UNESCO or Doctors Without Borders, then to a politician). On the other hand...

I don't know how "services" are reported in US, but I know they didn't used to be reported in Poland <g> You got ferried for free from one end of the country to another... Your house and swimming pool "were built" at no cost to you... Money didn't change hands, so it was no business of the tax-folks, and everyone was happy (except Joe Schmoe)...

Sometimes, I think I hate politics more than I do 'puters... :)
