I figured out how to dump the dictionary. All I had to do was create a
hunspell subfolder and move the binary dictionary into it, then the
exporting process worked as advertised.
java -cp languagetool.jar org.languagetool.dev.DictionaryExporter
hunspell\de-DE.dict
did the trick for me.

Hi,
We have discussed this several times. Basically, I want to tag more words
than I want to accept as spelled correctly. Keeping dictionaries separate
helps with this. Also, the download size matters less and less, and
morfologik dictionaries are fairly small anyway.
