HI all, What is best way to be limited upload speed from LAN users. I read that it is possible to be done with IMQ interface or with limitation over gateway interface of router(eth0 in my scheme), but i cannot chose what is preferred way and need from advice. Please for advise, any example

we're doing it over the eth0.. i mean anything that comes from eth1 (upload) is shaped on eth0 when it would leave the router/shaper, and downloads (coming in on eth0) are shaped when it gets router to the users on eth1. Both are using HTB and it works just perfectly fine. -diab - diab etWhat

Hello All. I've built some boxes for QoS that work wonderfully. Much thanks to everyone's work on this project. Citrix + Videoconferencing are working great. Thing is, I'd really like to not rely on the old 4GB drives in these machines. I would like to build a kernel small enough to put on a 32

Why not try something like Pebble linux from http://www.nycwireless.net/pebble It is a stripped down Debian install that is aimed at running a wireless hotspot but it is just Debian and you can install whatever you want. It fits on a 64MB flash card but if you install almost anything you

Why not try LEAF or Embedian? I use LEAF and it works well. Will take you a while to get used to it as opposed to standard RH kind of distro. The LEAF site is pretty good. I can also help you offlist, if need be. I'm also the maintainer of the QoS and bridging chapters on the LEAF Users Guide.
