Dear All,
I know that it's not a problem that can be attached
to lartc but I need a guru who can explain what can be the problem with this
connection. I connect to an ftp server. All firewalls are off and on a gateway I
get this tcpdump:
09:11:30.207400 10.1.0.7.19018 >
212.92.18.38.ftp:
> Without proto static if one of the gateways is a PPP connection or PPPOE

I haven't patched the kernel with dead gateway detector patches. Links
are stable. I can manually modify config if a line drops.

May I ask you something?
What is the difference between these:
10.5.0.0/16 proto static
nexthop via 10.0.1.6 dev eth1 weight 1
nexthop via 10.0.1.8 dev eth1 weight 1
AND
10.5.0.0/16

nexthop via 10.0.1.8 dev eth1 weight 1

Thanks. I had successfully set up that each connection is estabilished on
other line but it's not an optimal solution for me. Is there a way I can
route 50% of traffic put on 1 line? It would be good for me if every second
packet would
Hi all,
I've read all howtos at lartc.org but I still don't know how to share
packets between two uplinks. I used iptables/ROUTE target which works on
router box. In this case I can't use that because this box do masquerading
and i can't match destination ip at the prerouting chain in mangle table

Dear All,
I've read the message with the similar subject but I have a different
problem. I've got this network:

On a 100Mbit network I downloaded at 36kbyte/s. I think it's correct.

Here you are: (i made ssh, ping, ftp traffic)
class htb 1:101 parent 1:100 leaf 101
My simple network sheme:
eth0eth1
internetgw(traffic shaping)---client
I'd like to make this script work on a gateway with more than 100
clients.(ISP's gw)

Hello,
Even if i use passive transfer? Notice that ping request/ping reply also
don't work. How do you mean that it only works from MY ftp server? How could
i shape ftp traffic from every ftp host? Thanks!

class-system
doesn't work the way I think. Do you have any idea where did I make the
mistake? (of course I want to add much more classes later but it's just the
test phase) Thank you in advance!
