Hello,
Change the ceil parameter to suit the maximum value of bandwidth on
that link. Check and get back to us.

Pawanji,
Aapka yeh config tho thik hai. This config seems to be perfectly fine,
why don't you try htb + u32 and see the comparitive results you get.
This isn't a solution to your problem though. Setting up the same is a
breeze and it does the job more than well.

Hey pal,
What about the overhead part to create the display that flows between
the internet gateway(Machine you are monitoring) and your machine???.

Sorry Mike,
This isn't an answer to your queries but instead a question. I would
like to know if there are any added fields to the tc -s -d output post
application of the 2.5 kernel patch you have applied below.

Hello Martin...Stef,
I am using tc from the download you provide but iproute2 that comes
with RH. Thus i doub't therez an issue with my setup.
Lemme know where according to you the issue is. Am unable to fathom the
source of the filter issue. If you desire any clarifications please

Think what you need is IMQ for shaping incoming+outgoing traffic.

Can you please look through this months archives. Me and a lot of
others have put up some scripts that will work for you.

Hey...;)
So thenwhere is the limitation. What is causing this limit of
filters. How does one scale with U32 and HTB.
Is it cause the bandwidth mentioned in the lower classes is more than
the root class.

Hello,
If you just wanna reduce the b/w pipe per server wrr could be a
simplistic implementation that would work.
For real functionality see htb which works like a charm. For something
more complex see cbq.

these U32 issues and 2048 U32 filter limitations as i had posted in my

Hello Sreram,
AFAIK all Traffic Shaping be it Ingress/Egress can be done at your end.
This will help majorly on the link at your end by prioritising trafic
appropriately.
You can't possibly change traffic priorities at your isps end.

Hello Ana,
There could me multiple reasons for the same. Try shortlisting the same
from here for a start.

Having made quite a lot of expensive mistakes i have finally clobbered

Have a look at it and please suggest as to how can i limit bandwidth to
each ip on this network to about 64Kbits.
