I have developed a LabVIEW shell application that will run after I

modifying the registry value of Windows so that everytime the Windows

Almost all computers have at least one RS-232 port. You may have
either 9 pin or 25 pin DB connectors for use. Your OS's hardware
report will tell you how many you have. If you need to control more
instruments than ports you have, additional RS-232 cards are pretty

RS-232? Thanks.
It seems the problem has been fixed: It does not crash under LabVIEW
6.1 or LabVIEW 7. (I can reproduce the crash under LabVIEW 6).
We don't use the installation maker built into the application
builder, instead we use a third party tool that is free and gives
additional options; like including a license and to split the
installation set to fit on floppies. It's called Inno Setup and can be
found on: http://www.jrsoftware.org/.
The question specified only one VI, hence the statement.
You can probably use sub-panels to get a second view of the panel too.
Again that would require a second VI. Separating the GUI will
typically be a more flexible solution in the long run though. Have the
data globally available and then you
