I am plotting data in chart continuously over time. My data comes from
a VI, that dynamically runs in the background. When I close the VI
with the chart and open it again, the chart plots a jump for that time
period, in which i left the VI.
Is there any way, to let the VI plot coninuously,

I am not familiar with all of the intricacies of the Oracle database but I
believe it is ODBC compliant and thus will work with Microsoft ADO. You can
use the AddNew method of the Recordset collection to add only the fields to
a record that you need to.

I use these as well.
One of the biggest benefits of the track ball is that the cursor
movements can be issolated from button clicks. This lets you put the
cursor at the exact location you are after, then without touching the
ball, you can do your clicks.

If you have the full development version of LV you can use the compare
VI hierarchies function from the Tools- Compare menu.
If not you could open the llb with the VI library manager (Tools menu)
and check the show dates box you can see the dates of all the VIs.
I was refering to Database Variant to Data. Have you checked the examples
and recommendations for data conversion in the hardcopy manual?
I know, but there is a difference between the Database Variant To Data
and the Variant To Data. In the variant data stream there is more
then one value
