Chris,
The MSI Error implies that the Microsoft Installer(MSI) Engine
crashed. This is the software that handles all installation and
uninstallation on your computer.
I am assuming you are using Windows 2000. If so you can download and
install the MSI engine from Microsoft <a
href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4b6140f9-2d36-4977-8fa1-6f8a0f5dca8f&DisplayLang=en";>here</a>.
Just download and run the installer and it will install MSI engine 2.0
