creating multiple files

How would I go about creating multiple files this way?
I would like to use the Open/Create/Replace.vi to prompt a user to
enter a filename.  After the user enter the filename there are several
files that are created as a variant of that file.  For example if the
user enters a filename TRIP, I have three file created that are called
TRIP_a, TRIP_b, TRIP_c.
