Thanks everyone for the advice ,I have decided to use an old datataker
dt50 I have ,But am unsure how to use labview to monitor these sensor
readings, Does anybody have any advice or know were to get labview
drivers for this device , Any help appreciated.

I have a PH probe /contoller with 4-20 ma output for input into a pc
for monitoring purposes , Now 4ma being 0 Ph and 20ma being 14 Ph ,
Can I simply wire this into to a comm port on my pc rs232 and then use
labview too monitor and perhaps control.Any help greatly appreciated.
Hello Joe , Thanks for the info , one more question, I have data
starting at maybe 0 , or maybe - 5, or maybe 5 , streaming in packets
and how can I make a true or false comparison in that when the load
cell is loading it will show true and when unloading show false
therefore changing the state of
Is this number special in any way , ie , the highest or lowest number
or unique in some way to the rest of the data ? If so,this should this
will be very easy to do.

, The shift register on the main while loop did the trick. Do you have
any suggestions for the blinking indicators?

Thanks , but unfortantly i only have poxy base package version 6 ,I'll
see if I can get someone to recompile in V6.The extract packets vi I
attached is a neat little vi wich returns an asci Packet.

I have written one that captures multiple channels of strain and
files,also displays on graphs , with selectable channels , Let me know
if you havnt found what your after yet ,

Thanks for that, didnt even know those property nodes existed. Works
great, BUT the number that controls the direction needs to works that
if the number is positive to the previous number it flashes down , and
if the displacment is negative to the last number it goes up(Blinks)
,not relative
I only use V6 , unfortuantly cant open , you must be using v6.1

I am recieving data (displacment) and wish to represent this as an
arrow blinking up or down depending on the number when the displacment
data is increasing the arrow blinks down and the opposite for negative
displacment ,Does anybody know a easy way to do this or even better a
