yes the OPC client is a data socket function. You should be able to
find the example in the communications examples of the
labview/examples folder.

anywhere else.
The I/O works system is a VMIC/GE I/O system and provides an OPC
interface. You might try the OPC client in LabVIEw to talk with the
OPC server for the I/O Works hardware.
