Ok, it was my mistake, I mixed up my scripts.

No, indeed it was /share

Somehow I accidentally used a wrong script which basically did a
make
sudo make install
instead of ('up to now')
make all OS_TARGET=linux CPU_TARGET=x

I installed the latest version from sourceforge (lazarus-1.0.10-0.tar.gz) via
"make install", and surprisingly the files ended up in /bin and /share.
