Hi, I've just bought a Wi-Spy 2.4i spectrum analyzer from MetaGeek: http://www.metageek.net/products/wi-spy-24i The mainstream GUI packages support Windows and Mac OS X but there is also some software for Linux, from the same people who wrote Kismet. This Linux software is called "Spectrum-Tools"
