I guess doing all partial backups is fine from CD boot. As you mention, what I occasionally do is a full backup, and then take the floppy over to windows, copy the .lrps to the old CD image, and burn a new CD. More reliable boot, if configuration is stable. Yes, b shorwall avoids the hassle of "wh
