I have a Promise PDC20267 card installed. The driver
installs OK when referenced in the modules files and
the card is recognised at startup. The attached hard
drive *not* found. Should the IDE system be rescanned
or something similair?

There are a few options to save them.
You can create a simple lrp package which contain the scripts or you
can load the local.lrp package and add them in the list, so they will
be stored in the configdb (first read the help file of the local.lrp
package).
