Robert is correct. You will need to configure the adapters using
3Com's 3C5X9CFG.EXE program from DOS. I have done this a
number of times with the 3Coms, and have even documented some

There is a DOS based config program for the 3c509 cards. Think you can
find it on Donald Becker's site http://www.scyld.com or on 3com's site.
The file is 3c5x9cfg.exe
What I did was create a DOS bootable disk and copy the 3c5x9cfg.exe file
to the dos disk. Then I can boot my LRP mach
