My question is how do I open individual ports? I'm
sure it's easy but I need it spelled out for me.

Well it is indeed easy, but it is kinda difficult to spell out if you don't

Us which version of leaf you are using.
I am going to assume it is Bering since that is what seems to be use most
often.
Go to the lrp configuration menu ( Type lrcfg).
Choose option 3 configure packages

Hello Mike,
If you use Bering, you should use the settings in shorewall.
As the answer depends on your setup ( masquerading , DNAT) etc,
I would suggest reading the shorewall manual especially the section about
zones
interfaces
and rules
